Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

You can still transfer I think. Email Malcolm on info@wilmslowhalf.org.uk with the full transfer details including race number, replacement's name, DOB, age, UKA number then you should be OK.

For what is worth at this stage, the 5-day weather forecast is predicting a LOT different conditions to last year. Currently predicting Cloudy, 1oC, 12mph wind but with gusts upto 30mph

I've done Wilmslow Half since 2005 and I think only missed one. Every year it has been sunny!

It sounds like car parking may be an issue. I hope people heed the warning and turn up early, as I wouldn't want people to be hanging around for a delayed start because of late arrivals as happened at the Tatton half in November.

I'd just like to publcily thank Malcolm Fowler

I emailed him two number transfers (two different running clubs, Congo Parkrun) and he has sorted them and answered all questions very quickly. I don't think I would have the patience for it!

Nelly - yes, indeed as no parking on fields most likely which could lead to a long queue to park near the club. I'd advise anyone to park closer to Wiilmslow town centre and jog to the start. Even better cycle.

Yes, Malcolm does all the work. He gets a massive volume of emails.

I hope all the hard graft that goes into organising an event like this doesn't go to waste due to weather. Fingers crossed

getting a bit worried about this now - I didn't use to worry about weather conditions a few days before a race as road races never seemed to be cancelled but after 4 villages this year I am starting to think Wilmslow might not happen if it does snow because the temperature isn't scheduled to rise much before race start time
