Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Any updates on the weather in Wilmslow this morning Bob?

I've found this zen55853.zen.co.uk webcam in Mobberley, which currently appears promising :-)

My personal experience is the snow seems very localised, i.e. a couple of flakes falling when I left home in Altrincham but nothing on the grass, compared to settled snow at work in Warrington.

It is snowing in Bramhall but only a dusting settled. Like Four Villages the problem will be if it settles and freezes on some of the small country roads. I'd say that it is likely to be on. I'm not looking forward to the 20mph+ easterly into our faces for the last 4 miles!

Latest form the event website "Saturday 6.15pm – There is no snow at Wilmslow and unless there is a significant deterioration in the weather overnight the race will definitely be going ahead."

I hope all travelling from further afield will be able to make it to Wilmslow.

Lots of runners moaning about the cold today but you have to feel for the marshals - standing all that time in those conditions must be unbearable.

The marshalls, and especially the supporters were fab today. You wouldn't catch me standing out in that freezing weather!

Although I was a little confused by the two young men at one water station who found my name mystifyingly hilarious :(

Couldn't agree more, it was certainly a day for running rather than marshalling/supporting.

Not even the wind in the last 2/3 miles or the dubious choice of t-shirt colour could spoil the event for me :-)

I agree not even the worst t-shirt could spoil the best half in the north-west well done wilmslow hang the t-shirt designer.
