Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Hi Has anyone tried these? I have been using Asics 2160 (had several pairs) and its time to change. The price is right for the 2170 but they need to do 30 - 40 miles per week and be hard wearing!

All reviews welcome,

Cheers

I have *cough* 3 pairs currently on the go, and I will be buying another pair in the autumn when I retire one of my current pairs.

I moved to these from the 2160 and 1100 series before that, the most comfortable shoe I've worn yet.

I've just bought my 2nd pair of 2170's, they're the only shoe that have NEVER given me a blisters UNTIL the uppers went on one foot at the weekend. I'd done 470 miles in them! Just also bought a pair of 1170's in the sale to try purely as a backup.

Hiya, I have a pair. Great shoes but 3 months after purchasing them both shoes have holes in the uppers :-/

Love mine, but as Matt says, the uppers are not particularly hard wearing. They are the first shoes I've ever managed to get holes in. Having said that, I did get my usual 400+ miles out of them.

I've decided to move away from the 21 series and instead of going from 2160 to 2170 I tried the Kayano 18s instead, which although more expensive are a much more comfortable shoe for me. I actually think Asics had some great shoes in the 2120 and the 2130 and 2140 were also very good, but since the 2120 they've gone backwards.

*Thread resurrection klaxon*

I've worn out two of my three pairs of 2160s, so it's time to buy some new 'uns. Has anyone else got any experience of their 2170s or Kayano 18s?

heart my 2170s. Thought they were a bit hard at first but after a couple of runs both pairs were very comfy :)
