I have loads of wicking base layers. I fancied a Merino Wool one for winter, but it is not to be as I started wheezing 5 minutes into wearing it. Any other suggestions for fabrics that wick well?

Wild Stripes do pretty good knitted tops that are synthetic. I have worn them quite often in the winter and they have been fine in terms of wicking.
