- Fraserburgh Half: 18 Nov 2012 (as near to sub-2 as I can manage, which may not be very near); Lochaber Marathon: 14 Apr 2013 (sub-4:30 target), oh and maybe a wee small ultra in March 2013.....

*Yorkshire Pie*

October 2012 Beachy Head – plan is to get round, maybe about 5 hours if I\\\'m feeling good, April 2013 Brighton – sub 4? Plan after that to be determined by how much work there still is to do...

*oooobbbaahhh*

St Neots Half 2012 in Nov fingers crossed for a sub 2hr really want a sub 1:50....Brighton Marathon 2013, see how fast I can do this at 155bpm, hopefully sub 4:30...

*mole-thing*

Maintain HR training for rest of 2012, increasing mileage by 10% a month - Done: 191 miles logged in April 2013. Now aiming for 200+ miles a month.
Target races:
Gosport half 18/11/2012. Aim at 1.45 and see what happens. - Mysteriously could not maintain planned pace after only 5 miles and struggled to 1.52.43.
Greater Manchester marathon. 28/04/2013. First one, so set a target a bit slower than I might be capable of, to be decided nearer the time. - Targeted 9 min/m and pretty much achieved it: 3.56.40.
Next target race Abingdon marathon 20/10/2013. Target to be set nearer the time.

*Nellers*

Build mileage through the winter, establish a good aerobic base, run a Half Marathon PB at Gt Bentley in Feb, Run a 3.45 marathon at Brighton 2013, reassess targets then.

*Zeb*

Consistent injury free training throughout winter. Keeping long run to around 2 hours, and speedwork once or twice a week (in form of cross-country race or hill reps with club). Rest of running at easy pace. Sleaford HM 24th Feb, and definite sub 1.50 target. Lincoln 10k 7th April - sub 50 target.

*ReturnoftheJuddi*

Build mileage through to December when I will start a marathon training plan for VLM. Will attempt to go as close to 5hrs as I can. Stay injury free is my number one priority. I must reach the start line in one, fully functional piece. Next steps will probably involve some 10k\\\'s and half\\\'s but I dont want to get ahead of myself - lets see how I go over the next 6 months.

*SmileyBob*

Current Marathon PB 5:01:15, GFA Target time 3:10
1 mile in 7:07 quicker than GFA Pace @ The Big Fetch Mile 10/11/12
H/M down to 1:57:09 @ Blackpool GNW Feb 2013
Rough plan:
Following some advice, once Manchester mara the rest of 2013 will be about 5km/10km. 2014 about 10mile to H/M pace, 2015 Half to 20mile pace and then attempt will be at London in 2016

PB for marathon so far Loch Ness 30/09/12 4:42:45
Would like to beat that at Liverpool on 14th Oct but not going to break my neck trying. See how I feel on the day.
Planning on spending the winter months building a good strong core along with general strength training and building upon fitness levels, maintaining at least one LSR of 10-13 miles a week.
Aiming for a sub 4:30 around March/April, hopefully at Barcelona if I can afford it. Considering starting the 55 mile/18 week P&D after VLM for an autumn Marathon.

*Jambomo*

A PB at Inverness Half Marathon in March 2013
A sub 2 hour half marathon at some point in 2013.

*Magpie Rob*

Ultimately needing a 3:15 for Boston and VLM and a 3:10 to get into New York
Plan is to keep up current level of 40-50 mile weeks with increases for current marathons. Speedwork at club and parkruns.
Current race targets are:
Cabbage Patch 10 - ran 70:50
Gosport Half Marathon - ran 1:33:13
Marathons for 2013 - Brighton (3:24:17)

*Pestomum*

2012 - getting back to regular running/ building base/ losing some weight

*shortstuff*

Marathon PB 3.58.33 set back in 2004
2013 Manchester marathon April...hoping for sub 3.45
A couple of half marathons in the build up.
10k regents park winter series
LFOTM 5k Hyde park.

*runner duck*

Doing St Neot's half marathon to try to gauge what my starting point really is. Very much hoping for sub-2. PB is 1:53 but doubt I will get anywhere near that. Managed sub 2:10, which was the revised goal.
Brighton marathon in April. Concentrating on building a base so will just see what pace I do on the day. Then aiming for more speedwork in the build up for Abingdon. Hopeful thoughts for a sub-4 there but will have to see if that's feasible after Brighton. Main aim at the moment is to not succumb to illness between now and Brighton.

*thechunkygentleman*

Current PB 3:49:22. Need to get down to 3:10 now or 3:15 in just over a year\\\'s time. On a P&D 55+mile plan for Florence in November. Hoping to take at least 15 minutes off my best. After that, to be decided but i am of the view that if i could just get a good 12 months clear of injury i could make real progress...

*Jaks*

2012 base building, 2013 sub 2 half marathon and to be able to run 15 mile comfortably by June. Will *edit* when completed...

*Fizz :-)*

No marathons in 2013, didn't get into the VLM ballot. Going to concentrate on shorter runs and speed work next year, then move back up to longer distances in 2014. Current PB 4:15:11 4:15:11

*SODIron*

Planing two marathons this year, Manchester in Spring and York in Autumn. Using the Spring one to get a little puppy fat off so I can have a solid block of training in the Summer/Autumn with a view to seeing how close I can get to the GFA at York. Realistically I don't expect it this year but will hopefully learn more about what works for me when marathon training and have a real dig at it in Spring 2015.
