I am fundraising for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution

The RNLI saves lives at sea; an average of 21 people are rescued every day from the water, in situations which are often difficult and sometimes dangerous. The charity is independent from Government, so relies on donations and fundraising for its income. I am running for the RNLI because I think its work is invaluable, and because I want to support the brave and wonderful people who make up RNLI's lifeboat crews and beach lifeguard teams.

About Me

In 2006 I went to watch a friend finish the Bristol Half Marathon, and found myself thinking, "I really want to do this one day". Realising that the mythical 'one day' would never come along unless I got my arse into gear, I applied for the Bristol Half in 2007, and started running.

When I started, I had no idea that running would change my life. I had no idea how much better it would make me feel, or how much I would love it. I'm just so glad that I found out, because it's brilliant :-)
