That was great! A bit of impromptu ultra support! Sarah H from our club is doing 12 hour challenge, 6am to 6pm today. As I was setting off with canoe I saw them (heard Anne M!), Sarah, Laura M, Andy, Anne M so asked if I could join after my canoe for a bit of a run. Just as I'd packed canoe up and I headed off anti clockwise, I bumped into Sarah with Jillian G now supporting. She was just finishing so I joined Sarah for a lap or so. She was walking this lap in order to eat, v. sensible, so walk it was (you all know I'm fine with slow!). Loads of great chat and she was doing really well. End of first lap, she ate well and we set off to do some run, a bit of walk for small uphills and bigger headwind sections. Great to chat to her and very impressive to see her take on an ultra during lockdown/restriction, just cos! She might hit 62 miles, 100km in the 12 hours. She was at 38 after 7.5 hours when I left her. :-) G
