20:33 actually, forgot to stop watch. Well that was pretty unsuccessful. Well, given that parkrun is a time trial and I tried my hardest and got a time, it was successful in trialing my time. It's just not the time I was hoping for! Hoping for low 20s with a view to getting sub 20 soon. And as my first V50 race was hoping for decent age placing. But no, overtaken by what looked like a V50 Perth guy in last mile, turns out he's V55! And two other V50s ahead of me! So much for getting older is getting easier! Anyway, not surprising, not enough speed work etc. So, if I want to improve need to get back on it. Unfortunately, right ham string is tender to touch, so not going to run today. Weather is horrid anyway. S's BBQ for her birthday was a bit of a wash out. Well, bad weather, really heavy thunder storms, but the few folk who were here enjoyed it. Unfortunately, she had a bit of an upset on Friday and probably also stressing about new job on Monday and had cancelled the whole thing. So only folk that were there in the end were neighbour, a horse pal and her niece and my Mum. At least Mum brought cakes! Shame, I was looking forward to welcoming Andy and Rachel round - and Nigel, Sally and their kids. Mind with rubbish weather kids woudn't have been able to run around outside, so wouldn't have enjoyed it much anyway. Still raining this morning, but hope it will dry up PM for the wee car driving. :-) G
