Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Official 6:02. My slowest Fetch Mile ever! I started in 2008/9 with a 5:55 when I was hoping for 6:0x and here I was hoping for 5:55 and got 6:0x! Going the wrong way!

Great day though. Lots of old Fetchie pals, and importantly, lots of new, fresh Fetchie blood too! NU (Gillian) was ace - she had contacted Fetch, helped select venue (Springburn Sports Hub - fab facilities, brand new track), brought drinks and baked cakes. She also brought lots of Springburn Harriers, adults and kids, that really helped with numbers ( 51?) Weather was lovely, so all round great day.

I enjoyed helping katypie with a bit of pacing, for her 7:00 (actually 6:59.8!) time. She did great. Was a bit worried when she pulled out of her heat after 1 lap, but she just needs to have a bit more confidence in her running. But pacing her was a pleasure, so my gain!

Kids were inspiring, esp in the 4 x 400m relay which they won. Very polite lad in my mile heat, who said well done as I passed him on last lap! Anyway, great day out. Well done Fetch and Katie B. The touring Big Fetch Mile is a great event!

:-) G
