iceblue Set off far too fast and ran first mile in 7.40, slowed down in the second mile to 8.30 but still felt okay. The remainder of the race was over hilly forest trail, splashing through mud and a stream in parts, which was fun! Managed to speed up for the last mile in 8.36. Much tougher race than I had been expecting, but a small, well organised race. For the £5 entry there was homemade flapjack in the goody bag, homemade soup and sandwiches at the finish and a good medal :-)
