funkin After running a 7k race the previous evening I'm happy with a time around 19 minutes. Infact, I'm very happy with this time :) Ranelagh Harriers, The Stragglers RC 18:04 18:04 19:03 69.27

Kieren Really happy with this time. Went out with a plan to start out slow and speed up rather than my usual of going out too fast. Was planning on taking it easy and had no intention of racing. Shortly after the playground (first km) all that went out the window and I had to race. Serpentine RC, Ealing Eagles Running Club 18:33 19:05 21:00 61.84
MadJonny No chance of a PB after a 10 mile run and a few beers, but used this as a practice. I went off slower than usual, and hit 1k about 10 secs slower than PB time. Kept to the same speed for 2nd kilometer and hoped to pick it up in the second half. However, sun was out and HR up to 175. I knew by 4k that I was off a PB, but pushed hard and ran the last 1000m in about 4 mins. Will definitely use the same strategy again and prepare a bit better next time.
