Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Evening Yorkshire. Wish me luck, about to set off from work on foot (9 mile route) in this bliddy awful weather! If I survive I'll pop in later (looks like I might have to swim some of the way.... :L-)

hope you get home safe winnie - mind you you probably are already - just been swimming with small child - such fun sitting there freezing in the water while she plays :-) Still pizza man delivering soon as my reward.;-)

Thought we had already decided to have a 4x400 relay? And I asked you if you wanted to pick your own teams? Or am I just getting old? :-)

I'm still deciding between High Peak relay and this. I'm moving more towards this at the moment. The weekend before I have two trail races and the weekend after there's a bigish orienteering event - a track and cake weekend might break it up nicely. :)

Okay for the relays how about everyone is numbered in accordance with their finishing time, fastest 1 and slowest 32, then the teams are formed as follows;

Taking 32 runners as an example;

Team 1 – 1, 32, 9, 24
Team 2 – 2, 31, 10, 23
Team 3 – 3, 30, 11, 22
Team 4 – 4, 29, 12, 21
Team 5 – 5, 28, 13, 20
Team 6 – 6, 27, 14, 19
Team 7 – 7, 26, 15, 18
Team 8 – 8, 25, 16, 17

I know just because someone is fastest at the mile they may not be fastest at either the 400 or the 100 but it’s the best I can think of at the moment.
