Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Women on budget airlines who try and take on a handbag as well as their other hand luggage even though they know they aren't allowed and will have to go to the side and try and stuff it into one bag just before boarding. They aren't going to make an exception for you so just pack properly before joining the queue.

Hotels that know there are problems with a room but give them to you anyway hoping that you'll just put up with it.

This happened to my friend at the weekend and her room was hotter than the sun and without a working shower.

The utterance "That's just semantics". What is more important, unless you happen to be Humpty Dumpty, than what things MEAN?

Ramblers who plan a circular walk that involves crossing a river via stepping stones, and then stand around looking lost when they discover that after a week of torrential rain the stepping stones are still there, but covered by nine inches of raging foaming water.

Probably better that they *do* stand around looking lost than blithely go ahead "because the map says there's a crossing there"?
