Saw this question asked on social media and it really got me thinking.

So many contenders ...
Finishing the Oxfam Trailwalker with Running Duck ElBee and Vrap
Doing VLM 2010 - wanting to quit at mile 16, having a friend climb over the barrier at mile 18 and run with me, seeing Fetchies and being revived to finish with a PW and massive smile.
My 5m PB at Centurion with every mile almost all the exact same time (max 2 seconds difference)
My first marathon .......

what about you?

I'd only been running for about 9 months and I ran the Bramley 10. Just came in under 1:30. I couldn't believe I'd managed sub 1:30 for 10 miles, or that I had even run 10 miles without stopping. Also at the beginning there were lots of people with gels, etc and I thought "gosh this is a serious race". It is ten years ago now but still a very memorable run for me.

Getting stung by a wasp while running the Newton Abbot ladies 10k and still getting what was then a PB.

Running the Glasgow ladies 10k - sadly the race is no more but it was a fantastic event.

All of those were in 2011 - I am sure I've had more recent memorable running moments too, but those are the ones that jump out at me.

The first parkrun back this year was memorable too. And the parkruns where I've finished first lady - yes I know it's not a race, but it's still enjoyable :)

Interesting, and after a while thinking I can’t remember one single hreat historical moment. Sad.:)

I haven’t done many races over the years, I’m not much in to that.

But I guess my latest training race for a fast 10k a couple of weeks ago.
I didn’t really feel super, but gave it a go.

I crushed my previously PB, and almost broke 40min.
Ending up on 40:07min, I could’ve broken 40min to if I had better control of where I actually where time wise in the end.

Started the year with a PB of 46ish from 2019.

So many to choose from; every pb, every age category prize, best WAVA's... lots of number related ones. All the club runs, doing miles in beautiful places, companionship..
In the end I've settled for two photographs

What's that coming over the hill, where I was showing the way on a badly marked cross country course

The chorus line in the 2019 National XC at Wollaton Park.

Forgot to say, the photos were 15 years apart, but the shorts were the same.
