Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I love Victoria and the way she does the show!

I hardly ever get any of the connections but I still enjoy it. I'm a demon on the missing vowels round though :-)

I'm glad that some people are enjoying the license money spent on it.

Luckily after UC I can switch over to Eurosport for some top quality TV professionals :) commentating skinny blokes cycling around the gorgeous Pyrenees, so the screen is safe for now :)

I did very well at only connect, but I was pants at Uni Challenge, usually it is around the other way...

9 is all, carp. Paltry.

Only connect, I lost count of stuff I got right, especially the word stuff at the end, which is an unfair conclusion to the quiz in any case.....

I trust you weren't as bad as the contestant who thought the Indian Ocean had the same surface area as Jupiter :-O

I wonder if OC is getting easier as I seemed to get more connections than normal.

:-)

I like guessing which contestant does the best/worst at the start. I had the computer science woman as best and the guy that looked like a Tolkien character/werewolf as the worst. They were both pretty good.

The Youth Team won.

I was waiting for a Paxman withering stare at how stupid that answer was but he doesn't seem to do that for science stuff :-)

The bloke with the beard reminded me of the lead man from that Icelandic trapped drama on BBC4. He was v. good considering English isn't his first language.

We usually try to guess what subjects the contestants are studying - we had the werewolf down as maths/physics or computer science - wrong:(

Mrs DB and I compete too at UC, usually I ignore OC but as we had taped UC watched OC first. Mrs DB was on fire last night with both programmes. I managed a run of 5 correct answers to sneak a win at UC.

Yes, possibly OC is easier, maybe like UC, it gets harder later. The vowel stuff at the end, I almost got the lot!!!

The werewolf guy did a little bounce up and down when he got one right.
