I splashed out on the luxurious Travelodge Salford Quays which is nice and close to the start, treating myself to the Sunday night too as it was a snip at £30 and thought their might be some others up for a post race beer. travelodge.co.uk

I liked the location, great for restaurants, but the hotel was a bit dodgy, although it did have a pool which, post race, was very welcome!
