Yeah they're great, favourite shoe in quite a while, minimal and light enough, yet cushioned enough. That means they'll stop making it now, or completely wreck it on the next overhaul.

They have the same rubbish laces as the Takumi Sen 9 but in the Takumi I had to swap them out as the upper was too uncomfortable with them when trying to get a good lockdown. I don't expect I'll have that issue here. How many miles do you have on it currently? I'd likely happily keep them for track but they won't be a good daily trainer if they only last 200 miles. Streakfly probably have 200-300 on them at this point. Forefoot is well protected but midfoot isn't and some peeling on the inner left heel. |

I think it's less than 200 actually. Need to start tracking mileage.

That's the worry... I swap shoes regularly so hard to know how much I've done. I'm only doing 100 miles a month, so probably won't know for a few months. They survived the 14 miler on Sunday fine. The sole is a bit weird, it's like it has no grip I can feel with my hand - but it does grip ok (yet to try it in rain). It's like a transparent old-skools 80s plimsole like-cover over the foam. It *might* be more durable than say the Fuel cell one I had previously, or some of the Nike vapor fly ones where you feel you're straight into the foam after wearing down the grips. But I don't know. Take a look at the picture to see what I mean: runningxpert.com |

I have them so can just look at the shoe. It's lightraxion a new material from Adidas. Reviews suggest it has excellent grip but there's no long term ones yet to confirm durability.

Was talking to someone that has the Pro 4 at club track night today (same outsole) and he was saying what he likes about the Pro 4 (he has the Pro 3 as well) is the durability so it sounds promising.

Streakfly 2 ordered. Hopefully arrive in time for a trial tomorrow before racing on Saturday. Was tempted to get the VF4 but I don't plan to do a HM before October currently so got time to see if the SF2 will work for that or can check out the VF4 or other options nearer the time. |

There's something special about the resilience of Adidas Lightstrike Pro foams that I haven't found in Nike shoes. Have a pair of Prime X 2, mainly for long tempo work and LSRs, which are going strong after 550 miles, two pairs of Pro 3s with many miles in them, and a new pair of Pro 4 for London. However, the 4 feel noticeably softer than the 3, so it will be interesting to see how they hold up over time. |

RunRepeat's Adiós 4 review says they lose the magic now, fine for training but maybe not racing. They do expect the outsole to be durable.

That should say Pro 4. That reminds me, someone else had the VF4 proto at track on Tuesday and the foam on the Pro 4 felt softer.
