I can declare the hens were the winners :-)

The stags' average gender position was 33rd while the hens' average gender position was 13th.

That's counting the 8 stags and the top 8 hens. We still win if you include all our hens, our average position then was 27th.

We also got more hens on the podium with Loca and Sarah placing 1st and 2nd. Only Contro made it for the stags, coming 3rd.

If you didn't know, BigChiefRunningBore and I are getting married in May. Hoorah!

Sadly, we can't invite everyone to the wedding so we thought we'd take over a Parkrun for a Stags vs Hens race at 9am on Saturday 5th May and invite as many people as would like to turn up to run with us. All welcome, it's not a clique thing.

It'll be at Brockwell Park, short walk from Herne Hill overground or Brixton tube.

Led by Chief and DaveB, the stags will (optionally) be in drag. Dave has promised to wear a garter. Contro will be doing a progressive run as he arrives through Brixton in a dress and compression socks.

There may be champagne and cake at the finish line if we get organised but we'll go on for breakfast at the Lido Cafe for bloody marys and bacon sandwiches. thelidocafe.co.uk
