jacs205 Aug 2012 10:02pm, 2 Aug 2012 416 posts	jacs205 I read somewhere, maybe runners world that if you put your kit in cold water before putting it in the machine it stops the smelly bacteria growing. I have been doing that for months now, into a sink of cold water just while I am in the shower and it does work, the kit smells fine now. My favourite running tip of the year, been passing it onto everyone:)

old mum Aug 2012 10:44pm, 2 Aug 2012 227 posts	old mum Add bicarbonate of soda to your wash cycle. Costs less, does the same job - killing the bacteria that cause the niff. A teaspoon at the first fill cycle should do the trick.
Meglet Aug 2012 11:04pm, 2 Aug 2012 10,652 posts	Meglet Ariel do an antibacterial stain remover you add to your normal washing powder, I've found it works really well and makes them smell nice. I had a vest that smelled even when I got it out of the machine, it worked on that too!
