I managed to share on FB but cant manage to save to my computer am I being thick? Do I need an account to beable to save to my PC to email mummy?

No, as far as i know you dont need a flickr account to download the pics

Click onthe picture to make it big
It the top left hand corner is Actiions
Click on that and use the drop down menu to "view all sizes"
Then you can "downlaod the large size" to your computer
