They do a 2k at the same time. Had signed my sons up but funnily enough not been able to tempt them out of bed for any yet.

Re the low numbers, the first ever parkrun had a similar amount of finishers. As for stealing courses, my local one is three laps of what used to be my club's Boxing Day relay course, albeit using a different start and finish area. Competition for parkruns ? Probably not if they are Sunday instead of Saturday, more likely to affect other races that are actually held on Sundays.

If there were any local to me I'd likely run at them and definately continue to run parkruns as well.
