Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

2 X 26 plus 18 this evening. Progress has now definitely got harder. But I did two more than yesterday in the third set so its a small step in the right direction :-)

3 x 8 done, and that is probably my limit. No manly ones at the start of each group, and no nose to the floor. Although, in that TV programme many years ago, where they took several athletes from all walks of life and they all competed against each other in several tasks, push ups, sit ups, running, etc etc (what IS it called???) I am sure with the push ups their arms just had to go down to a right angle, no noses touching anything?

Anybody know the programme I am on about. It was a real classic in late 70s? I have been trying to remember what it was called for ages now.

I've seen it before where your nose has to touch someones clenched fist (held on the floor!) or a bunched up pair of socks. My problem if I try to touch the floor with my nose is that I just end up over stretching my neck.

Good progress though Hamish - i keep thinking I have reached my limit, but somehow managed to do 3 x 29 this morning - although I did that instead of getting on the bike for my cross training!

About This Thread

Maintained by Dogtanian
Start on day 1 with 3 x 1 press up. On day 2 move to 3 x 2 and keep increasing by one every day. If you fail to do the target for the day then you try the same number the next day, only increasing when you have done the session properly. The Marathon talk challenge is to get to 3 x 100 push ups.

There are no real rules except all three sets must be done in the same session though. No going to wash your hair/walk the dog in-between sets:-).
