Hey all

Decided to take a day off yesterday as I got to my short term goal the end of Jan with 3 x 31

Just done 3 x 32 and actually felt ok so the rest did me some good.

Keep it up

3 x 19. When I started out I thought there was no way I could do it - but somehow I did. Amazing. I am taking 2 min rest between sets and I had to have three breaks of about 5 seconds each in set 3 (after reps 9, 12 and 15), but I did 57 actual press ups :-0

I am starting again, concentrating on the 'manly' type push ups, with more of a perceptible elbow bend involved. 3 x 1 for me :-)

I'm back. The slight muscle pull down my right hand side turned out to be Shingles. Ah well. It's gone now. 3 X 3 today to get me back on the road again.

And blimey some of you lot are really going well.

Big break over xmas, must have put on four or rive stone, which won't make these easier. I just did my 3 x 18 but want to focus on consistency rather than resting for days then doing the next set on the list. So, I think I'm going to have two or three days of 3 x 10 before I move on to 3 x 19.

I'm pretty stunned that I'm looking to do 3 x 10 as an easy session. When I first did that a few weeks back I remember thinking they were hard. Great stuff!

Hey all.

Good to see you Dog.

Yesterday I hit the 100 with 2 x 33 and 1 x 34 felt a bit of an achievement to be honest.

Just done 3 x 34 the first set was actually my hardest today, will aim for 3 x 40 then may take another rest day.

Well done all

About This Thread

Maintained by Dogtanian
Start on day 1 with 3 x 1 press up. On day 2 move to 3 x 2 and keep increasing by one every day. If you fail to do the target for the day then you try the same number the next day, only increasing when you have done the session properly. The Marathon talk challenge is to get to 3 x 100 push ups.

There are no real rules except all three sets must be done in the same session though. No going to wash your hair/walk the dog in-between sets:-).
