Managed 3x50 press ups today ... not a great way to break in the New Year ;-). I've decided to do a similar challenge with dumbells but will keep the same reps for a week. So 3 x15 to start (17.5kg) ....

2 X 26 and 23. Tried doing them a little faster. Not sure if it helps but I suppose I did one more than yesterday. If I can get to 24 tomorrow I am going to dig deep and do the last two :-)

I must admit that I only thought of doing my sets at about 10pm last night, and decided enough was enough.

Today was spent decorating before going for a 13 mile run, so not too keen on press ups now either! Want to incorporate this into my training, but need to work out how - perhaps alternate days.

Start on day 1 with 3 x 1 press up. On day 2 move to 3 x 2 and keep increasing by one every day. If you fail to do the target for the day then you try the same number the next day, only increasing when you have done the session properly. The Marathon talk challenge is to get to 3 x 100 push ups.

There are no real rules except all three sets must be done in the same session though. No going to wash your hair/walk the dog in-between sets:-).
