Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

V'rap - No-one needs to do Cross-Fit. Ever! :-O ;-)

Seriously I don't get it. And the photos I've seen of people doing it are all topless people in just shorts (the blokes) and the women just have bras and shorts on? It's not quite normal? I don't get why everyone's into it at the moment.

I suspect it's just the latest craze and in a year's time, all the *cool* kids will be trying something else.

Think I'll stick to Hockey, Running, Orienteering, Cycling, Swimming, Triathlons, Duathlons, Aquathlons and maybe a bit of cricket and badminton every now and then. That enough?

Trying not to think of that in an "Eats, shoots & leaves" sort of way.

The idea of Vrap doing her outdoor training without a bra or shorts would obviously be too much for the males around here :-p

CrossFit seems perfect if you want to be fit but not specialise. I agree with pretty much everything they say in their what is fitness article. Nutrition I'm not sure about

Shame everything has to be a brand these days, although I understand why.

Pfft. Shoot my proofreader ;)

I don't think Cross-Fit has made it to Spyatri yet. The closest thing we've got is Moky Fit, which I think may not be quite the same thing.

This is the article btw: library.crossfit.com

There's a summary on the right of page 1 of what it basically involves.

Spyatri?

It's not really new, I wouldn't be surprised if people have looked into the individual elements of training are doing things similar to cross-fit already. Eg. I knew the stuff about weightlifting already, and most know that marathon training isn't going to help you move quickly when play basketball or other sports that require speed and quickness.

Obviously I have the same proofreader as Vrap.

Got something to say?
