Just a quick thought, have you tried widening the dates column?

This is so much more complicated than I had thought! Dates are now sorted but the data is not what I want, in mmy log my headings are

date and time/type/distance/time/pace/mph/mind/splits
when i transfer it to excel i get
date/hour/category/subcategory/distance/unit/time/HR/Max HR/Precipitation/wind/temp/feeling/notes/splits

lots of this is not relevant for a swimmer!! why is it transferring different data??

Grid
If you have got some bespoke requirements, you might want to drop some Feedback (see link at top right hand corner of every page) to Fetch who just might be able to help you out.

How? I have tried just saving the page but it looses the formatting.

Any ideas?
