I got back in the water for the first time in 8 weeks. And predictably I got faster towards the end of the swim. Happy days. And 2k swum again. It’s a strange experience in an indoor pool😱

Only three of us in the outdoor pool today, the wind was cold but otherwise well worth the effort! :)

I managed a coached swim session. Centre duty manager allowed my coach poolside. 45 minutes of fun and hard work

Last session last night. I am very sporadic with my swimming, but as said before, my youngest son has been keen to go and an hour away from the Playstation 3 times per week for him (without any arguments or bribery) has been great.

Just hope he is as keen when lockdown is over as we got into a good routine.

I've just cancelled my lunchtime swim, have a touch of earache and that doesn't mix with swimming :(

Hopefully come Jan I'll make it at least a weekly session.

I really enjoyed my last swim before they drain the outside pool for lockdown, the water felt cold at 15 degrees but the sun came out. Lovely but sad to be not going again for "a while"

Fantastic day for our last swim at capernwray before it shuts down. Warm sunshine after all the rain and floods. 11 point something degrees (they said) was very comfortable in out me amazing thermal wetsuits, two full laps with no problems.

There was someone in skins too of course :-)

Will try again as soon as we get the chance but it may be a while...

felt like it was the last swim of 2020 last night, very glum looking staff but also very jovial in responses though. maybe, fingers crossed we get to do a Christmas 10k?

Tested 200,400 and 1k last night....it was surprisingly great!

Got something to say?
