My 'normal' shoe size is 5.5 - 6 and my current racers are a UK 7.
However, I've been considering going up to an 8 as my feet get bigger in summer... there doesn't seem to be much size difference in one size, shall I go for it?
How many sizes do people go up in racers or do you stick to the same size? My current racers are extremely narrow.

My flats are supposed to be the same size as my road shoes but they are different brands. That might make a difference.

Just seems bizarre that I need to order a UK 8 when I'm a 6 in normal shoes. Oh well, I've ordered them now. Can always wear two pairs of socks I guess!

Depends on the brand D2D - I wear mostly Asics and they don't do their racers in women's - they are sized unisex so I actually go down half a size. I think you wear Nike - I only need a size 7 in Nike but am normally 7.5 - Nike are too wide for my feet but if it's the Lunar range, personally I would go down half a size from standard Nike road shoes. That's not going to help though if you've put in your order.

Obvious answer but have you never thought to actually go into a running shop and try the shoes on?

Well, the Lunar range seem to be generous - ASIDE from Lunaracers. I have found them to be incredibly narrow, I think it's why the right foot keeps tearing at the seams (only ever the right foot - which coincidentally is a tiny bit bigger than my left foot) so hopefully this should sort it out

Yes, I agree the Lunars are generous although I've not tried the Lunaracers. Maybe try up just half a size? If they end up too big that won't be great either - you maybe need to try a different brand for racers?

I have Nike XC spikes which seem at least half a size smaller than my Saucony road shoes or Brookes flats. I'm told Adidas shoes are also on the small side.

53 minutes after your initial question and with only one reply you say in your second post that you have now ordered your new shoes.
What actually then was the point of the initial post?

Yes, I've heard Adidas are on the small side too - Adizero at least.
If this solves the one on the right tearing though, I'll be very happy plus I have a box-fresh UK 7 so can just sell them on and get another 8 if they turn out to be alright.
