I have a very sore shooting pain. Im not sure if its hip or pelvic but its situated on the knobbly bit of bone that sticks out above the leg on the outside. Its in line with belly button. When prodded Its really sore on a tendony bit that seems to be on the bone itself. Is it part of the hip or the pelvis.
Any advice would be welcome.

Might it be your hip flexor?

Yeah its around that area. More on the actual bone that sticks out though.

I had that a few years ago - seemed to appear out of the blue and stayed for months.
Even running across the road provoked the pain, and it kept me off for ages.
I didnt see a physio at the time, but wished i had because it probably would have gone away more quickly with some work on TFL, glutes/ piriformis....

The pain was right on the iliac crest where TFL attaches I think.
