I wouldn't do 22 miles at race pace this close to the Marathon, probably wouldn't do 22 full stop this close but you know what works for you. Either way I'd just focus on having relaxing easy runs till the big day.

Betty - I feel your pain (not the achilles, the conditions on that dreadful day!) If we can do a marathon in *that* we can do anything :)

SB - glad the physio has given you the all clear. And thanks for implying I am superhuman, as I PB'd here last year ;-)

buzby - if it were me I wouldn't even be considering a run longer than 15miles this close to race day, never mind 22 miles at race pace. IMO if you completed that run now then you'd either leave your best run on the training ground or if you achieved your target on race day, then you your target was unrealistically low.

Rather than running it this year, I'll be out and about on the course supporting my mate. Looking at the map, and employing a little bit of local knowledge, I think I can combine a 10 mile run with supporting in six locations. If anyone is aiming for sub4 and in Fetch colours I'll be sure to give you a shout :-)

No worries, all part of the service! ;) I PB'd by exactly 31 mins at Milton Blumming Keynes, (as it shall always be known) but it was my 2nd marathon and my first one didn't exactly go to plan! Don't think I'll be taking another 31 mins off this year, but a few mins would be nice! ;)

The 20 planned yet will be a lot slower than race pace, I will run it with a friend, likely be 10 min miles (race pace is 8:35) its about going beyond the miles where you ache till you can go no more. I know its touch and go but need to build back up to mentally prepare myself.

Hmmm, I haven't had mine, neither has one of my club mates, she tweeted them and they said the numbers were being sent this week! Seems to be taking them a long time to send out the numbers, the other two that are doing it from Lliswerry Runners also got theirs two weeks ago!

Is there an expo, I didn't think there was?
