Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I never ran a step until 2009! I trained for and ran a Race for Life in summer 2009 and that was the first time I had ever run 5k without stopping. It took me 32 minutes (approximately, I didn't have a proper running watch!) and I can still remember how I felt when I crossed the finish line. That was definitely when I properly caught the running bug :)

My first was Balmoral 5k and I felt sooo elated. That was 2007 I think!

Maz - early pm sounds good. A long lie sounds like a brilliant idea :) Give me a shout later in the week and we'll make arrangements! Anyone else fancy a wee cycle?

Umm, well I actually can't remember it exactly :) ok, so it was 6.07, but in my defence I had glandular fever (I didn't know that at the time, I just thought I had a bad cold but when I got my blood results back I got a very big lecture from my gp).

The JDRF 10k run (and 5k walk) takes place at Hazelhead park on Sunday 16th September if anyone is interested in a gentle and popular charity run. For added humor value I shall be running it in a Panda outfit.

Oof, glandular fever is nasty, WKP. My son had it at about the same age and he was in hospital for two days!

Shame they have cancelled that 10k JR, I was just considering doing it after reading your first post, then I read your second post.....
