Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Hmmm slight misunderstanding re: Swanley. I headed up there today all excited about doing my long route but there are still no access signs everywhere. Either Mrs S cycles super-fast and therefore doesn't see the signs or we were speaking at cross purposes :( The wee loop was fine but the rest is still very much in the midst of major forestry work. I know this as I ignored all the signs and went for it anway. I passed 3 trucks which all gave me a wee wave to acknowledge me pulling in to let them pass, a digger which actually stopped work to let me pass and I played cat and mouse with a timber truck :) None of them seemed to mind me being there. I had an awesome 13.4 miles and feel rather epic now!!!

I do cycle fast but I can assure you there were no signs. they must've just come back to that part of the wood since I was last there, they do move around a lot

Well there are signs literally everywhere now. Pretty much the whole of the 7/8 mile loop would be out of bounds I reckon. Beyond where it splits I was OK and enjoyed not having to be quite so vigilant.

Ron - I might need an epic nap later though :p
