Will use this s a long training run, so will take it fairly easy early on and see how I feel further on. Would like to break 4 hours. As usual I didn't take it easy, reached halfway in 1.47. Started feeling tired at about 16.5 miles and had to run/walk my way in. Enjoyed it, maybe even the hills!!! Quite pleased with the time and hope to beat 3.30 next week in Prague.
have done the half twice ,this will be my first shot at the full. I am looking forward to it although i may be a bit easier on myself after doing the shakesphere marathon last week.

I enjoyed the first 20 miles and then it began to get tough. I managed to keep going but the last mile got me and I had to walk for a minute or so. I was glad to struggle over the last hill and into the run-in.

very well organised, hilly, off-road marathon across Salisbury Plain.
