Tripped between 1 and 1.5km mark. Just mud on hands and knees. Twisted right ankle and tried to run it off (no missed steps). Was fine until 23km mark and then ankle painful. Before that did use no brakes going downhill so ended up going quite fast on some of them. Downhills to halfway point where rocky were perilous especially with ankle issue. Got stitch from about 25km mark to around 30km. Got banana and fuel gel at halfway point. Left quad got tight probably from compensating for right ankle. Just walking up the first 4km or so after halfway point. Ankle made it tough to do downhill steps and some other parts. Stopped at 40km for cola and to wrap my ankle and fill up water. Gingerly set off with a limp. After about 2km just kept going at a slow pace and seemed carefully make quite good progress. Few times of difficulty. Ran even slight up hills. Last2km kept going without stopping or walking. Hips started to hurt after about 50km. Really tough going up steps with 3km to go. Tripped over root beer at 53.7km but didn't fall; almost hurt my back. 29th fastest 28-84km run.
