Kimbolton Half Marathon!

I've logged this as a race but this was never about the race or time or pace. Wanted to do this for the taking part and the t-shirt and medal; a change of scenery and somebody handing me a drink every three miles :-)

So 14 miles was on the plan today. We got there nice and early and went to get our numbers, stopping in the loo queue first. Quick change at the car and then back to the loo queue, not enough loos for the amount of people. Then it was a jog to the start.

Lovely pretty, undulating route with the biggest hills at about 5.5 and 11 miles. It was very warm out there today; the breeze when you got some was very welcome.

All was fine until about 6 miles when Mizzle clearly wasn't feeling her self. A run walk strategy was the best option; at some points she was so pale she looked like she was seeing stars. She did really well to keep going, especially in that heat.

Enjoyed the route and would like to go back and do again :-) Could feel Friday evening in my legs but other than that everything ok, nice low hr too :-)
