No, the inclusion of inverted commas was to imply that "what she said", (or "what he said", for that matter), grinds my gears. Especially since my 6 year-old daughter used it this morning, too.

I have a double barrelled surname and my sister, mother and grandmother are/were known by their middle names.
I have no point.
What grinds my gears is that the doors in this building have had big buttons added for disabled users and you hit the big button and the door opens automatically. IT STILL OPENS IF YOU USE YOUR FUCKING ARMS AND OPEN IT AND THIS SAVES PEOPLE QUEUING UP BEHIND YOU WHILST THE AUTOMATIC OPENING TAKES FOREVER.
Why would you use that if you aren't disabled. Idjits.

People who put extra "y"s at the end of words - gggrrrr. Why FFS? What does it add to the word that deems it necessary? Its seems to be very prevalent with young people on FB!

Red Squirrel - my maiden name was prefixed (La XXX) and I'm known by my middle name rather than my first name. The first name / second name thing is very common in Ireland but it causes me no end of problems - like husband booking holidays in the name he calls me that isn't the name on my passport.
I do rather miss my original surname, but after almost 40 years of hearing it being mangled, having to spell it all the time and then giving a potted family history, I ran out of patience. No one asks me about my very dull surname now and I don't really care if they pronounce it oddly.

People who make a statement and then put 'that is all' at the end of it. It's mainly on facebook e.g. 'Daniel Craig. That is all'.

Litter droppers, specifically those that do it, and get pissed off when you have a go at them and put the offending item in the bin that is 5 yards away. Happened to me this morning, with a 6 yeard old and his mother. I was clearly in the wrong....
