A new phrase coined by those super people at Amazon. Something called a Wish List Bookmarklet. I think it's their way of enabling you to track everything from anywhere but with an Amazon logo. Yippee. |

Companies that send stuff by City Link or the like rather than royal mail. Ordered some swimming googles online as mine broke. Got an email confirming that had been dispatched, would be delivered the next day and I need to be home to sign for them. I can select an alternative delivery day but they won't deliver on Saturdays and will only deliver during office hours but can't tell me what time. I'm not taking a day off work to wait in for them so I'll just have to collect them from the depot in the 12 second window that they are open on a Saturday morning. Turns out the depot is 8 miles from my house and I don't have a car so will have to cycle there. The royal mail sorting offfice it 0.5 miles from my house. Town, with numerous shops selling googles, is 2 miles from my house. It's so good that we can order stuff online when we're too busy to go shopping. It's SO much less hassle. |

I ask for stuff to be delivered to work but City Link may not do that.

City link are indeed arseholes. I once had a delivery due the next day, and KNEW no one was going to be in, but that there would be someone in the following day. I phoned them to tell them this, thinking it would save them an unnecessary journey and they could simply deliver 24 hours later. THis would be to both our benefits. Sounds very very simple, but could they do it? No. Told me I could only reschedule once I had the little card for a failed delivery. This apparently is part of their contract measures. I even said write the damn card out now and pretend you tried. Nope. |

*goggles I feel your pain Saracen. Apparently I can only change the delivery address with the sellers permission. Seems a bit of a hassle now so will just have to get up early and cycle there at the weekend. What a faff. |
