Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How much is it? Missed out on this year's race as I've been getting fat and lazy, but that's ending now...

£30

Which I think is too much. But all proceeds go to local charities and sports clubs. If you're fast you can win back a fair amount in prize money ...

I agree it is a lot Bob, but at least it's clear when you enter that the majority of the entry fee is going to charity as you're asked whether the organisers can claim Gift Aid on that portion of the fee (£20ish, I think).

Hmm, that is a little steep. Not as if I'll ever be troubling the prize money either - even when I was running well that was a distant dream!

Guess I'll wait for payday. I'd rather spend pennies on a weekend away this month :)

I agree that it is steep. We are lucky to have plenty of races in our area so you can pick and choose. Wilmslow Half is a high standard race with a great atmosphere so tends to sell out quickly.

Nelly - yes, I feel a PB is on the cards - especially if you train hard all winter, race a few parkruns and 10ks, do cross country... and avoid injury ;)

I'm just bobbing in to say that the Wilmslow Half 22 March is almost full and online entries will be closing in the next couple of days as we reach 5000.

After that I can only take entries from a limited number of local club runners and elites.

Good luck with it. I've broken with tradition and not entered this year. Pretty sure I'm an ex-runner now.
