It might depend on what type of device you are using to record your activities - Garmin, Suunto, Polar, etc I've always used Garmin, and whether we are in BST or GMT, mine always shows the correct start hour, ie it truncates the minutes, never rounds forward eg 2:01pm and 2:59pm activity starts both show as 2pm |

I record using mapmyrun on my phone and manually uploading the tcx files here. I get the 1 hour difference problem when we are on BST rather then GMT: this appears to be a problem with the files that I get from mapmyrun. This morning I finished my run at about half past eight. The last trackpoint in the file is recorded at time 2020-10-15T07:32:33.805000+00:00 According to ISO8601, this should in fact have been: 2020-10-15T08:32:33.805000+01:00 ie the time part should be local time, and the offset tells you the UTC time for a definitive point in time. This site is therefore doing the right thing, it is the app that is breaking things. |
