Personally, I would say that an Ironman-distance triathlon is considerably harder than the 50, especially if it's a sea swim or the bike leg is hilly, however it's one of those horses-for-courses thing. This gal would find it much easier than any kind of triathlon

Bar one very small blister on the side of my heel that I was only aware of on finishing my feet (and shoes) were in a good state at the end and no toenails will be lost. My feet got a bit tender towards the end but I'm not sure that could have been totally avoided given the conditions.
