Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think that very much depends on what kind of runner you are. Personally, I would say that an Ironman-distance triathlon is considerably harder than the 50, especially if it's a sea swim or the bike leg is hilly, however it's one of those horses-for-courses thing.

This gal would find it much easier than any kind of triathlon :-)

Agree with you NE, definitely dependent on what you've trained for/and good at.

Hoka Challenger ATR v4. Not impressed, the tread on the soles is starting to peel off. I know they had a hard outing yesterday mind.

Long distance shoes that do that are disappointing. I’m going to try some (Hokas) for next years LDWA 100

NE, has Bobs tried the Torrent? Similar fit to the ATR4, but with a more complete outsole. Too much exposed midsole on the ATR for a rocky course like the L100 I think.

I was pleased with how my Speedgoats performed. Bar one very small blister on the side of my heel that I was only aware of on finishing my feet (and shoes) were in a good state at the end and no toenails will be lost. My feet got a bit tender towards the end but I'm not sure that could have been totally avoided given the conditions.
