The third hardmoors110 ultra marathon is upon us soon and ive had a few questions about the race and course so i thought it was time for a thread . I will update the header with helpful info when on the pc . Ive done the race once where i came last (ive lost half the year to injury and currently cant run again so if i make the start line i may end up a 'sweeper ' again )and supported once so hopefully i can answer most questions . The RD is also on fetch . Its a very small field at the mo and the ultra ladies out there should take note that there were no lady competitors last year and so far only one this year .

You only came last cause half of the field dropped out, don't put yourself down Flipster!! If i'm recovered mid September then i'd like to do it.

Just noticed Jon posted on whw forum that if you've done a long distance event, ie whw, hardmoors, UTMB then they're offering it unsupported and a drop bag system and leave car at the finish and bussed to the start.

Its taken time but for proven ultra runners the drop bag system makes this race more appealing and im so glad jon has made that decision . Seems we are attracting some good fast runners already . I dont think thats on the website yet mind so please spread the word . I also have some flyers if anyone would be kind enough to put them up at there club , local race or sports shop i would appreciate it. Lintie, i was hoping you and loon might come down and do it . A bed is yours if needed .

No Ogee, whw not unsupported yet. The committee did talk about doing a trial with a few experienced folk. The last 15 miles are the remotest so from a safety point of view i think they're wary of shouldering the responsibility for the safety of runners.
