Well that was a hot one today. Enjoyed it, (I think) but boy I can't run in the afternoon sun too well. A 10 miler would have been enough today I think. Felt a bit ropey at the end as did many I saw. Maybe a sponsorship from someone like Hi-5 wouldn't go amiss for a little more than water at the drinks stations. It didn't bother me as I carried my own but I was surprised at how few were just relying on drinks stations which can be lethal when out in warm conditions like yesterday. Said hello to Mick n'Phil, they were awesome, poor guy was probably a bit perplexed by my smiling and chatting each time I saw him, feel like I know them from on here so why not !!! I swear these guys have a full bag of shopping on the back of the chair which must make the job twice as hard. Respect to them. Hello to the Fetchie with the camera in the last half a mile, where will your pics be? |

It will take me a while to upload them all though so check back later. Mick-it was lovely to see you and Phil today, that heat was tough today, you should be very proud of yourself! |

Thanks Podkin, it was great you had your Fetchie top on, I think I may have grimaced just slightly less than otherwise would have !!! Will check back later, don't rush, it must be a mountain of a job. x

Scary ARF alert: flickr.com I really didn't cope well yesterday. It's a shame as it was a pleasant course, and a lot better support than I'd expected, but I found myself roasted inside very early and struggled to manage any sort of pace. Well done all out there. |
