Morning team 4. It's a beautiful day - ideal for one of there training runs. Don't worry about us supporters slacking off either - I'm training too today.
I'm going to work today and will shout at all the staff.

Morning all - not quite so bright & sunny here today. Just wondering for how many of our team 4 runners this will be your first marathon experience?

I hope that you are feeling better Sherry. It is my first ever marathon. Ran 16 miles last saturday and it was ok, legs tired this morning when I ran 8 miles. I keep on going though. It is so hard to know what your race pace is as you haven't run one before. I guess you just look at your last few long runs.

Feeling much better today thanks Debart. Glad you're on Team 4 so I can give you some encouragement at Fetchpoint. The first marathon is all about the learning experience ... unless you're one of these elite runners who pretty much knows what pace they're going to do, but I guess even for them, the first time is a big learning curve.
How are all our other Team 4 runners doing? We're a very quiet group and I hope that means you're all out there busy training. Not long to go now.

Hi Team 4! SherryB, this will be my first marathon, and if I'm honest probably my last, the training commitment is quite a lot when you are as slow as me! I'm glad to hear you are feeling better! Debart, I ran 15 miles on Saturday, and am planning 16-17 or so this weekend if all goes well. As for race pace I really have no idea, I just know that I need to keep my wits about me at the start and not go off to fast in all the excitement! I do know that I plan on incorporating regular walk breaks so that I can take on water and refuel, perhaps every 4 miles or so but I'm not sure about that yet. I need to look at the route and see where the water stations are. HellsBells, I'm right there with you, finding it a bit tough and definitely will be in need of hugs at Fetchpoint. Good luck with your training and wish you some lovely training runs from now on!
I also need to sort my details out - I know what vest I will be wearing as it is a charity vest, however I plan on sewing buttons onto it with the names of people I know/have known with cancer as they are my inspiration, and I haven't done that yet! I will get onto it asap.

Plenty of hugs will be on offer at Fetchpoint, especially those of you doing this as your first ever marathon. I will know exactly how you feel because it will be my first marathon the weekend before!
