No chance on the red munnki, will definately be finding an event without a red course going and with some nice technical boulder-fields or summat, can't have you being able to run now can we? I'd never win.
Yeah MX, I'm just a desperate blog-pimp

Thought about doing some as i fancy doing more fells and mountain marathons. Vaguely remember doing some as a scout in Germany as a kid(and getting lost in the hills around Koblenz) but i've forgoten most of it.There has been idiots guides to getting started on various stuff like garmins (ian M has posted some very helpful stuf). Is it possible for any of you more experienced peeps to share some basic knowledge so we don't look to stupid on our first attempt.

*Thinks* Can't do it now... but I will have a think and do it soon, no problems. Its alright anyway, you won't look stupid because 1, events are always very beginner-friendly (in my experience anyway) and 2, if you get lost noone can see you getting lost because you're on your own in a forest/moorland/whereever and there may be people around you but they may all be doing different courses and minding there own business.
Noone will point and laugh at you. I will try to think of some idiots guide type stuff though.
