I don't find over-enthusiastic marshals motivational, but as long as they are enjoying themselves I'm absolutely delighted they are out there volunteering! Loving the understated black T - will undoubtedly get some wear out of that.

Flatlander Oct 2015 5:51pm, 21 Oct 2015 233 posts	Quote Pin Flatlander I'm an Abingdon drop out, and I'm sure that part of the reason for the high DNS rate is that entries for popular races open very early (8-9 months in advance) and often fill up within a few days. 3/4 of a year is a long time for things to happen to stop people racing.

If they look nice have a conversation with them and you won't need music! I did this at Chester last year and had a great laugh all the way round.
