Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I don't get the Beachy appeal. Just another pretty trail marathon though the best bit is usually in fog so you can't see owt.

Funny you should say that Naomi. Somebody wrote about how great Snowdon was at the weekend and about the wonderful view. They never got that during the race.

Amazing how people have Rose tinted glasses for races they want to do.

Snowdon is fab and I saw the views on the Sunday as it was a lovely day.

The best bit was glorious this year in the sunshine! I think I just like running where you can see the sea :)

For me its not the views but the fabulous scenery, the rock formations, give me mother natures work any day over man made structures. The climb up Pen-y-Pass makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about it. Can't wait to enter again.

I've got bad memories of running by the sea. It's often fooking windy.

I saw enough of Snowdonia last year to realise it was beautiful behind the clouds. I just don't see why they have it at a time of year where it's highly likely to be bad weather. I understand that it's busy with tourists already in the summer but it would be so much more pleasant as a summer marathon. God knows there aren't enough road marathons in summer anyway.

Could always try the trail marathon, towards the end of June?
