About The Club

We're a friendly, small club with about 150 members, based at the Gledhow Sports Club.

We run every Wednesday from the club at 6:30pm, with routes around Eccup and Harewood Estates, Meanwood Valley and Roundhay Park in summer and the scenic streets of North Leeds in winter. On Mondays there's a regular interval training session at 6:30pm too.

You'll find up to 50 people regularly running on Wednesday. The emphasis is on enjoyment rather than structured training, but there are some very experienced runners, with a wealth of knowledge. A few drinks and maybe a bite to eat afterwards is the norm.

Being based at the sports club, there's a good social scene, with several events throughout the year. There's an annual trip abroad for a race and a bit of culture as well as a trip to the London Marathon.

Everyone is welcome - just come along on a Wednesday ready to run at 6:30pm.

Monday
On Mondays we focus on interval work, it might be speed work or hill work, either way, the sessions are tailored to suit all abilities. Taking part in interval work is a sure fire way to boost your fitness and your running.
Wednesday
On Wednesdays we mostly start from the club at 6.30pm. There is always a choice of distances to cover between 5 and 9 miles and within the distance groups, varying speed levels.

As a club we are commited to 'loop backs' to make sure that no-one ever gets left behind.
