STATUS 4 October 2022 - Did London (tick!). No races planned.... yet.

About Me
I initially got into running as a cheap alternative to the gym in 2006. I was originally inspired by my three year old daughter, who having asked me to chase her across a playing field, made me realise how unfit and out of shape I was.

I then started running round the block once or twice a week and then gradually cranked up the frequency and mileage into 2007. I did my first race (a 5k) in April 2010 and since then have increased the variety of terrain and the distance of races. I did my first Marathon in 2012 and up to then I would have baulked if anyone had suggested that I run a Marathon. I know a few runners who have done quite a few sub-Marathon races but who find the thought of a full one very daunting.

I am also addicted to Parkrun and I have got some family members and friends onto the Parkrun bandwagon.
