Never been so unprepared for the GER .......circumtances and being ill for the past 2 weeks did not help. Had trained for the distance but not pace...
Set my sights at 2 - 2.15 so really pleased at outcome. I tell myself that I could have squeezed under the 2 had I not had a comfort break between 6 & 7 and walked each time I fumbled for a jelly bean from my bag...realistically I was just being kind to myself as I am still not feeling 100% and knew I shouldn't be trying to.

Really enjoyed, the whole event has such a fantastic atmosphere around it. Thank you to all WJ's who were out there giving support x

Well done on sticking to plan. would have been very easy to try for pace and then feel very uncomfortable towards the end so a very disciplined run which is good for the long term :)

those pesky jelly babies - i fumbled and lost the first one running with both hands effectively handcuffed heart rate shot up. Recovered and success on second attempt. Well done today. Sticking to the plan is sometimes hard. Well done.

Lol! Training needs to include getting jelly babies etc. effectively from storage to mouth :-)
