That for me was the hardest race I've ever done. Freezing to start, hands were completely numb and was shivering terribly. Made a good start keeping first 7 miles well under 9mm then we went round the first lap of the peninsular which I think was just over 5 miles, 5 hilly miles!!!! Then we had to do it again, what a killer. This route seemed hilly throughout really with a few big ones thrown in which I just had to walk up - really disappointed in myself that i walked so much in this one but determined to do better than my first marathon which I did but only by 22 seconds!!
